One of the few games I will remember till my end. The flying and animation to boost from freefalling to flying the breath taking world the sound exosuits make while moving I just wish I could keep playing it forever

I love this game and play it with my family. We're all pretty upset that EA is shutting down the servers. My Kids and I haven't finished story yet because we get sidetracked with side missions. LOL. I really hope we can before they're shut down.

EA is removing this one from its servers for good on January, and all files and data on their servers should be preserved before that, so the preservation of this one is urgent! And if there's a game that justifies the need for the preservation program, than this is one is perhaps the perfect example of that! This game is so unfairly underrated and unpreferred. It 's a mix of an RPG, a multiplayer, a loot-and-shoot game, a battle game, a flying game, an exploration game, and it balances the right dose of medieval/futuristic stuff, as well as supernatural/fantasy stuff presented as sci-fi. You don't have warriors, but pilots. You don't have missions, you have expedition contracts. You can, as well as accomplish them, spend hours exploring and discovering a beautiul vast world full of secrets and accomplishing side quests and challenges. For those who like Dark Void, Iron Man, and Star Wars Bounty Hunter, this game will make you salivate.

The flying and shooting mechanics are good and interesting — I really enjoy this combination. I believe that if it had been an RPG, more like their other games rather than a looter shooter, it could have been a great one. Still, it's worth saving.

played on xbox loved it just needed more content aborted before it could live really would like it as an offline game would even buy it and love to see what modders could add or fix in hopes one day we get it in a better state

I antcipated this game for many months and it was cool to just fly around whenever I wanted. However, the content felt empty and it was disappointing with an endgame that left me feeling duped. Save this game and lets make it better.

Forcing myself to like this game is an understatment. Like the typical gamer, I hate low frames and crappy preformance. This game had promised so much, and even though I haven't played it in years, I would love to see it improve and get the treatment a project like this deserves. Fighting space creatures in a personal mech suit like your're War-Machine, literally the coolest dream! I still laugh at how buggy it was tho, funniest time was when I spawned in with no head and it crashed seconds later. Like for real? I just started! lmao

I own Anthem for Xbox, unforutnately by the time I got it, it none of my friends were playing it anymore, so I didn't really get into it. The little bit I did play it though was fun. Anyway, this is exactly the problem with these types of games. At any moment they can just pull the plug. There should be regulations that require them to release the server code so that users can host servers for it. Yeah I know it's not that easy at this point. Who knows how the servers setup has been done. My point is, if regulations required them to do this, that end game would be considered when they develop it day one. I miss the days of hosting Quake servers, Counter Strike servers out of my house, all I had to do was download the binaries, do a bit of reading and I was good to go. Then the communities can start doing mods etc... Things like the Lithium Mod and Expert Mods for Quake 2 were a blast. I can only imagine what I could host with my 3 gig fibre connection and the PC hardware I have now. They should be required to let the communities that love these games continue to keep them alive.

The game got so much hate being not the classic Bioware game that many didn't experience the fun it was. My friend and I played it a lot because it was so cool to fly and fight as iron mans in an alien world. You felt so powerfull when you managed your exo-suite efficiently. The coop gameplay really was fun protecting each other against all those enemies. I even enjoyed the story althogh all those haters critizised it not being on the level it should be for a Bioware game. This is still one of my favorite games because I felt home in this scenario defending the people with my exo-suite. This game definitely must be preserved for gamers not blinded by the myth of the older Bioware games.

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.
