It certainly has it's good things and Bad things, while the Bossfights are either very easy or very hard with almost no room for inbetween, I enjoy the Movement and the traversal through the Game, the Combat is Smooth and Versatile with it's different weapons and Abilities.
Each Mana Attack Features something Unique with their pros and cons, never making older ones Obsolete thanks to proper Balancing and you can choose whichever suits your Style the most, just like I prefered attacks like the Cross for typical Castlevania Style Attacking, or the Chains of Justice to stunlock groups of Enemies.
The Weapons are all Unique to their Category and getting the Level 4 Variants are especially worth it.
The way you get them can be quite difficult, but with Patientce and Practice you can master them for very good rewards just like we could in Metroid Fusion and Dread, but essentially better.
The Story is PEAK, it builds it's plot directly on CV3 Dracula's Curse and Castlevania Curse of Darkness by mentioning the works of Trevor & his Team and Hector during and after their games. The Bosses themselves dont simply become irrelevant, you basically capture most of them after you usually defeat them, that way you can still have some Dialogues that can go from Wholesome to comedic.
This gives the respective Characters more Character and even more Lore at one Point or another, especially when fully Upgrading them.
And the Variety of Characters are also quite big, you have the usual familiar chars like Death, Carmilla, Isaac, Medusa etc, some Characters from Christianity to Greek Mythology and even some Historically Important Figures from medieval History are also present, connecting the Game even to Real History
Exploration is a Mainpart in this game as it allows you to have a Reward that anyone might Like, wether it's more Lore, a Token to give you a Bonus, Upgrades for Stats or a better weapon.
Even if you are New, it has Customizable settings for your prefererable difficulty.
