Outer Wilds is a critically-acclaimed and award-winning open world mystery about a solar system trapped in an endless time loop. The newest member of the space program in a small village on the planet Timber Hearth, the player navigates a space shuttle and travels across their solar system to get to the bottom of its mysteries by exploring the cosmos and gathering the knowledge hidden within each of the system's planets, left behind by another civilization in the distant past.

I want to be honest, I do not know much about this game, but, what i've seen has convinced me i want to play it, i want to experience it, i want to live through with something that changed me profundly being with me not only because i chose to include in my life, but as something that i made important to my life with my own hands; and if more places can help every type of art be given grace and respect, not just supplying equity, but changing a system that makes pitfalls for especific mediums, discorage experimentation and creative freedom, and sets insustanable standards so you don't even try, than i beliave we can explore and wonder the possibilities every creator put out into the world, without gourging on the same five games remade eternally. This is why i want to get this game, through here without DRM or finding another way, just, FOR EVERY SACRED GLIMMER OF WHIMSY, not be limited to just finding pieces of art on ONE place, curated through a greddy agenda, censored, or erased. sooo..YEaH! We can't experience everything, But i refuse to remain stagnant staying put. I want to find balance understand how to be at peace in the chaos of existance, and just learn how to be happy And for that, i need to allow more of the world i live, in, to be free. unfortunatebundles

The best game I have played in my life by far, excels in all its aspects. It changes your view on life and the universe. It genuinely saved my life and I wanna preserve it by any means.

Ask me to list my top X games and >80% of them will be at least 20 years old, because I'm old and jaded. I still love new games, but it's not a childlike joy anymore. Until Outer Wilds came along. It's a masterpiece of story and narrative design. A completely open-ended explore-'em-up that starts out peaceful and innocent but will soon yank your feelings in every direction imaginable. Hope, terror, wonder, despair, joy... But what makes it truly memorable isn't just that it has an imaginative and compelling mystery, it's that every player gets to experience it in a different way. This is the most non-linear story ever told in a game, even more than games like Return of the Obra Dinn. From the first time you launch your ship, you can go literally anywhere, and the game won't give you even a tutorialized suggestion. All it gives you is a solar system full of clues and breadcrumbs for you to find and put together in your own time. I doubt this game's story has ever been told in the same way twice, and it is truly a game that can only be played for the first time once. Outer Wilds deserves to be preserved. It deserves to be free from the shackles of DRM, so that there will never come a day when it is swallowed by time.

unlike simpler games where critical thinking may not be needed (those have been a curse and blessing since i started gaming 14 years ago) this will get you going if patient enough. no other puzzle game is like it. surprises around every other corner was a common feeling while tackling outer wilds mini solar system nowhere is technically off limits and their music is very serene 😊

The best gaming experience I have ever had. The sense of exploration and accomplishment as you piece the story together is second to none. The DLC is equally fantastic, so I really want a DRM free copy of both the game and DLC that I can buy from GoG.

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

The game features a large variety of game play and freedom, allowing a player to shape the world around and the characters appearance and moral standing based on decisions throughout the game. The player can also get married both same and opposite sex and bring up children to childhood but no farther, expressions are a lot more interactive with NPC's than before
