The wish to release GOG Galaxy on Linux is one of the most voted wishes. Now the developers probably focus more on Galaxy 2.0 so it's more likely that Galaxy 2.0 will be released on Linux than the original Galaxy.

You guys have no idea how long I've waited for this, it's what stops me from buying more games from Gog - please make it happen, it will pay for itself.

+1 for basic features like Linux only downloads and installs, maybe cloudsaves too... But anything windows related like proton or other layers, installations of Windows/Mac Version, Store etc aren't needed (yet) :P
Any distro will do, just package it.
+1 CachyOS +1 Zorin OS
+1 Fedora Linux
+1 FedoraI'll go against the grain a bit and suggest Appimage. It can be sandboxed using Firejail if required and can self-update.flatpak can be a pain when it downloads half a gig for an entire desktop, and Epic Games' Linux preview client is frankly awesome so far... and already available!
+1 Nobara Linux (Fedora)
Please for the love of god. With Heroic you have to choose between the Steam Overlay/Input or cloud saving, while Windows gets its cake and eats it too! Also since everybody here's repping their distro I guess I should mention I use CachyOS, btw
Make it arch based as most of the most popular gaming distros use it now.
+1 Debian
+ CachyOS
+1 (Flatpak, would be almost universal for everyone)

Ubuntu/Arch, that covers most people. Maybe some flatpak-style app if you wanted everyone to get it. Just need Open-Source option of Galaxy for Linux
+ Bazzite/Fedora (Flatpak would be great!)

+Flatpak (NixOS)
+ Flatpack would be awesome of you...

Is the source code for unlimited builds an option? :). Otherwise (security, disclosure..) official maintainers could build for Nix, Guix and Void.
