Idk what it is about CVX, but it's probably the RE game that freaks me out the most. Maybe I was too young to be playing it when it came out, or maybe I just didn't understand enough how RE games work in terms of preserving ammo and such, but holy moly it scared me as a child. I think it's also the last mainline RE game I really loved, as I played through all the old games with the tank controls and, after CVX, never really liked the action-oriented focus the sequels from 4+ went. CVX was, for me, the last true survival-horror RE (until I guess the FPS-style games came along like Village, but even those feel too action-y for me) and that's what made me fall in love with the games.
