If this comes to GOG it must also bring it's expansion, but most importantly, ALL AUDIO AND TEXT LANGUAGES WITH A LANGUAGE SELECTOR!!...And the soundtrack... One of the best in the genre after AGE OF EMPIRES and doesn't requires a BLIZZARD account to play it!DV2FOX

StarCraft deserved to be saved for PC gaming DRM-free for all the LAN parties, campaign playthroughs, and interesting experiences only the original can provide.
StarCraft and it's expansion is a must for GOG preservation, the game while can be difficult is extremely rewarding to play and fascinating writing of it's universe, story and characters. Solid voice acting and impressive cutscenes for the time. This game was Blizzard at their greatest. There is a reason why this and Broodwar survived for so many years even during SC2's launch, it was massive in South Korea. While Blizzard has done a faithful job updating the visuals for clarity and some minor fixes and even a fun cartoon visual. Blizzard has lost interest in the brand and left it perish. I was smart enough to buy a physical copy of SC1+BW when my game store used to sell physical PC games that didn't require the internet alongside WC3 with Frozen Throne and Diablo 2+Expansion. Blizzard tried to get rid of Diablo 1 and only play on their service, it became the new purpose for GOG to make game preservation. And StarCraft deserves the preservation for its impact to the gaming world and a reminder of how great Blizzard was as game developers.

This game is a timeless and perfect game. The king of strategy games. There has never been a strategy game with 3 well-known races. Both the multiplayer and single-player parts are great. The intermediate demos used to appeal to me. One of the 10 best games ever.

Starcraft, the original starcraft, the original experience, is something that is quite hard to find. I don't want the remaster. They put stuff that wasn't there on the menu. News and stuff. When the menu was so neat. The artstyle changes they did make it closer to starcraft 2... but starcraft 1's artstyle was not 2's. I don't want to connect to battlenet to play starcraft 1. I still have my original CD but... what if I lose it? What if it breaks? It is one of my most important games and I would really appreciate it here.
This was a game that cannot be stated how much it meant to be hooked on the starcraft franchise with Starcraft as the starting point. It was something that I want nothing more than to have a separate version of this game from the blizzard launcher. Where I don't have to worry of Blizzard one day imploding in on itself and losing all progress and purchases of the games I've considered purchasing. This game gave me memories of looking over starcraft E-sports and doing the best I can of trying to be good at the game. Although I played against the AI, and never finished the final campaign for both OG and the broodwar expansion. There would be days I would dedicate my time performing strategies between the 3 races and see if they worked or not. Even the AI was able to get the upperhand time and time again until I was able to truimph of it with 2 of the 3 races in skirmish modes. They even have game modes I didn't expect from the game and a fun level editor. Giving me a time to be a little creative and make my own stories driven campaigns. I want nothing more than to have an unedited version of the game where I can simply boot up the game without a necessary launcher.
Starcraft needs a GOG release so bad. The Blizzard launcher version is such a pain to deal with; it might be free, but I would gladly pay money for a DRM-free and spruced-up version. It's still a gorgeous game with an incredible soundtrack and a fun story, and I want so badly to have a version where I can put in the time and effort to learn the mechanics.

A long time ago, I found myself for a long time with just the CD-ROM of this game, a computer and no internet. And at the end of the day, what a pleasure. A masterpiece

I still have the install CDs but I'd like a digital copy since the physical media is so old now. This game is from Blizzard's glory days and although I'm not a competative player, I love the story. Please make it happen!
This game should be on GOG. Simple yet immersive. I have spent long hours in this game. I know its wishful thinking, but you could bring it back with original graphics, adjusted for widescreen resolution. That would be success I think.
Those games also need your vote!

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.

Dune
DuneDune is a 1992 video game, based upon Frank Herbert's science fiction novel of the same name. Developed by Cryo Interactive, is the first of the Dune computer games. Dune blended adventure with economic and military strategy, and is considered by many the most immersive Dune computer game. Loosely following the story of the novel, the game casts the player as Paul Atreides, with the ultimate goal of driving the Harkonnen from Planet Dune, while managing spice extraction, military, and later, ecology through the native Fremen tribes. As the player progresses, his troops are equipped with weapons from "crysknives" to atomics, tap into Paul's latent psychic powers, and get acquainted with such characters from the book as Chani and Liet-Kynes.
