As of today. nearly 80 thousand people have voted to revive the series known as Black and White.
An aging game, but a well sought after title.
listen to the following.
Only if GoG got the licensing from EA (which EA would be more then happy to sell)
as well as a copy of the game and the patches required to play on modern computers

GoG could be looking at around $400,000 in total gross profit

If a copy of the game was priced at $10.00, and say half the people who voted on the first and second game actually bought the game.

$10.00 x 40,000 people = so much money

So the real question is not where is the game. Its why isnt the game here already?

Because EA wants $400.000 and ONE cent! for it. That a loss for gog.

As much as I would like that to happen, I highly doubt this statement. EA doesn't even let old C&C games out of its python-esque grasp. The only legal way to get those is from EA's Origin store front right now I think. But I would like to be proven wrong if it is a good surprise :)

Yes, the fact that Black & White is not available on any digital distribution platform, not even EA's very own Origin, is a clear indication that EA would be more than happy to sell it on GOG.

I mean, come on! Even EA rejected it, they got to be desperate to sell!

Last time I checked $400,000 was not millions.

And best case scenario GOG gets 30% of the proceeds, so following your logic that's only $120,000 which is even more not millions. Taxes and operating costs also apply, so it just gets not millions-er and not millions-er...

For games as highly desired as the B&W series, it's always either a legal or technical problem, usually legal these days I believe. Perhaps the rights are split between EA and Lionhead/Microsoft.
I don't even know where the Black and White license is right now. It was made by Lionhead while they were under EA but Lionhead was then bought and later closed by Microsoft, so who knows what has to be done to get that release.
I still have my physical copies but I'd still love to see them release on GOG.

You could try hunting down the First Decade collection. Contains all C&C games up to Generals: Zero Hour, DRM free.
I'm affraid it's the one of the most difficult to bring that game here.
I could say almost impossible.
Same with Blade Runner.

It is hard to make millions when the owners of the IP don't want to co-operate.

Unfortunately the First Decade collection is near impossible to run on modern systems without fan patches. Even getting it to install can be tough.
millions of bolívares soberanos?
Mass Effect trilogy is all that GOG needs.

Everything worked pretty much out of the box on Windows 7. Even Renegade.

Haven't tried on Windows 10 yet but I wouldn't be surprised if the success rate was much lower than on 7.

From what I read somewhere Win 7 had support for something called WOW16 (16 bit legacy instruction set support). That has been discontinued in Win 10. Correct me please if I am wrong.

If that is the case, the first result of Google Search was this:

https://www.groovypost.com/howto/enable-16-bit-application-support-windows-10/

EDIT:
According to the comments, it apparently only works for 32-bit systems. 64-bit ones don't have the NTVDM component there.
