It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

SeeNoWeevil: Is there an app that can verify offline installers are the latest version (or missing entirely) without giving it my creds?

I really don't understand why this feature isn't in the official client and people are expected to hunt out 3rd-party solutions. Do people just not care their installers are out of date?
I very much care that my installers be up to date, which is why I use gogrepoc. However, gogrepoc does require my creds in order to work, which I don't mind at all.

I can understand checking outdated installers without creds, but how would an app know if you have missing installers, if it does not have your creds? How would it know which games you own and which you do not?

P.S. I do not use galaxy (which is what I assume you mean by "official client") and will never use it, so I greatly benefit from the fact that there are 3rd party solutions out there, like gogrepoc, etc.

The folder name is the game name so once you've downloaded the installers once you could check the files for those games.

I just don't understand why there's almost no push from users for an official solution. It doesn't even appear in the wishlist. A simple marker on the game box in Galaxy indicating there are newer files would be a good start.

I don't know about galaxy, but whenever a game is updated, it is marked in my library on the GOG website as updated (and you can filter the library by "Updated"). It is not perfect (e.g. new goodies are often not marked, only installers; you get alerts even if the update is specifically for an OS you don't use), but it's functional.

marcob: Hello, do you know if there's a way/an archive on GOG (or at least in a trusty 3rd party site repository, like GOGDB) with old hahes (hashes xml files for earlier version of the games)?
I've got some earlier versions of my downloaded titles I want to keep and/or I don't care updating for now (some are quite big). Unfortunately I didn't get the corresponding hash strings, so I can at most check them internally (installer autocheck when available) but a different source than the file itself would be better.
Gog users may be out of luck on md5 values for older game files that are no longer available to download and failed to grab the md5 values at the time.

I know I have failed to keep a backup copy of md5/xml for some of my games.

Gogwiki was a community website that had md5 values for lots of game files. That website is defunct a while ago.

I have yet to try this software that sounds like a community run md5 info database.

Thanks.
I doubt it has my hashes, since they are relatively recent. It's an hassle to keep the files but they would be very light on the servers. I'll also ask to customer service: I think it's somewhat in the interest of the site if I don't have to download an almost identical game (minor update) 20+Gb large just to have a version with a hash
