Falci: According to these news, gog.com is about to arrive in the land of Cachaça and Queijo Minas, Acarajé and Macaxeira, Tutu and Capoeira.

A great friend linked me these news just now, it says that gog.com is about to begin selling games in BRL and accepting local payment methods as well.

Let's hope for the best. I can't wait to be able to buy stuff again here without feeling heartbroken because it's so much more expensive than Steam and Nuuvem.
I totally figured that would be the next expansion, it makes a lot of sense in terms of size of market as well as other factors.

vicklemos: Technically I have some 3 or 4 games that are/were forbidden in Brazil on my GOG library... recently a friend got (on Steam) that Rockstar game Bully which wasn't available in almost 8 years or so; can't say I felt great when I got those digitally since I still have retail versions from the past days.*

Stooner: Bloodrayne 1 & 2, and Advent Rising are still unavailable.
Nemesis of the Roman Empire... and many, many more! ;(

vicklemos: Saw that, too.
Friendly advice for the forum folks/GOG staff: prepare yourselves.

In *every single case*.

Just saying ;)

Tchau!
I endorse everything! :p
Do you think this forum is chaotic? (me, yes, of course). Try to imagine even worse. Double it.
I really hope that GOG knows in what terrain they are endeavouring and don't drop the ball as they usually does with novelties. Nonetheless, looks a good move.

FUI!

Can you translate the article?
Fuck, I've somehow forgot the HUEHUEHUE BR BR.

:v

This forums is doomed I say, DOOMED!
I guess, if there comes a brazillian forum, 90% of the threads there will be complaints about mineiraco!
Just kidding!!! :-)

vicklemos: * so bring me my Outlive or some 'zillian classic day one! :)
**better pack it with some indie goodness such as this one ;)
Ah Outlive... I LOVE this game so much... I have tried contact the original IP owners, but looks like they vanished and the IP is defunct/sold for a bunch of people... Sad

Maxvorstadt: Can you translate the article?
I could, but I don't have much time right now.

But, in essence:

First paragraph tells very briefly the story of gog.com

Second one compares gog's lack of adaption to the Brazilian market with steam and origin.

Third tells that "some hours ago" the writer heard from someone close to gog and CD Projekt that gog will come to Brazil in the next few days with everything: local pricing, local payment methods and a few other unexplained features.

Fourth paragraph he is telling how happy he is with the news and the last one is simply a commemoration of the fact.

Well, I was expecting this for days now. But I wonder, why GoG didn`t start the brazillian section at the begin of the Olympic Games, which would have been a more clever marketing move.
Maybe spanish speakers are next. Who knows? Anyway, I will continue being a loyal "General Discussion" forum member. French one isn't as active or amicable as this one.

REDVWIN
It'd be cool if GOG celebrated with some new localisations added to games. I know people were flooding Judas with stuff a few months back, when a bunch of new languages were added.
Now we need a Bavarian forum, too!
