So basically I want to run a modded version of a game (grim dawn) which has it's own executable but I want to continue using galaxy to keep track of achievements and played time.

I have already googled for a solution and they seem to suggest to backup the original .exe and rename the modded .exe as the original. When I try that a warning appears saying "Version mismatch, .exe has wrong filesize".

Any suggestions?

Hmm, renaming is what I would have suggested too... I'm going to bookmark this in case I run into the same problem at some point.
In game folder:
file: goggame-[numbers].info
Edit with text editor.
Change path/file name.
Save.

Sounds to me like that's effectively equivalent to renaming the .exe. Given that the OP got a file size mismatch error, why would changing the path instead of the filename fix that?

I know, it doesn't make sense - but it's worth trying out. ;-) (maybe the size matching only happens with the original file name?)

(a bit off topic) Some old P&C adventures seem to have a few illogical puzzles - but they can be perfectly logical if you know the context the devs had in mind.
