"Venture into a handcrafted world where ruins whisper of past cataclysms. Master the art of sword and sorcery and forge your path with relics, spells and choices that shape who you become in this first-person RPG.

- A Handcrafted World
While Fatekeeper follows a focused narrative path, the world invites exploration. From ancient battlegrounds, vast underground caverns and serene forests to crumbling sanctuaries forgotten by time, each area rewards curiosity with hidden lore, forgotten relics, and unexpected encounters.

- Melee & Magic
Battle a wide variety of foes, each with distinct patterns, strengths, and weaknesses. Success demands both skill and preparation. Engage in reactive melee combat, unleash spells with precision, and adapt your tactics on the fly. Your build matters—but so does how you wield it.

- Progression
Fatekeeper offers rich progression mechanics that go far beyond surface-level stats. Build and refine your character with meaningful choices across combat styles, attributes, and spell schools. Whether you lean into raw strength, nimble precision, or devastating sorcery, the game supports a wide range of viable and unique builds.

- Armor & Weapons
Discover, loot, and master a wide variety of weapons, armor, and artifacts. Customize your loadout to suit your playstyle, and experiment with powerful combinations to overcome increasingly challenging enemies. Every item matters—and the right gear can be the difference between victory and ruin.

Announcement Trailer

Dreamlist entry
Voted.
Also more likely for this to get a release here than the title it obviously pays homage to.
Which by the current very much pro-DRM and anti-ownership trajectory of Ubisoft may very well be as soon as all the rights are with someone else or have fallen back to Arkane, if Arkane would still be around until then.
Trying to remember what another Dark Messiah-like that's in development too - but for another bigger indie publisher - is called. May have had a recent trailer where the hallmark "300 kick" - among other features - is showcased as well.

Anyone?

Anyone?
Upcoming? Alkahest?
Existing? Avowed?
Should be Alkahest.
Last trailer was released back in May, it's still in development (has been for a couple years, actually) and it's got similar production values as Fatekeeper.

Cavalary: Alkahest?
That's the one, thanks.
Most impressive for just 10(!) passionate developers working on this. Can't help but wonder if there's a caveat, like the final game being more on the shorter side.
Dark Messiah, of course, but the muted colour palette makes it look more like an amped up version of ELDERBORN, also in regards to the brutality on display.

Good trailer too that left it open until the end whether there's an established IP attached to it or not. Like when the narrating NPC mentioned "The White City" or when the title was revealed, that made me wonder if this is set in the Kingdoms of Amalur. Which it isn't, from the looks of it.

The "White City" (as in the celestial realm of Heaven) was brought up in the Darksiders 4 teaser shown immediately after the Fatekeeper announcement trailer, might have mixed up the two.

The Kingdoms of Amalur connection I could see though, THQ Nordic/Embracer owns the intellectual property after all. Fatekeeper does seem to be a completely new IP, however.

Maybe it's similar like with those famous "30" in Clair Obscur, when in reality it was at least 10 times more outsourced to do the grunt work.

Right, just watched that part of the showcase again, and the mention of a "White City" was indeed absent from the Fatekeeper trailer.
In hindsight the aesthetics and (creature) designs shown off don't exactly have "Middle-earth" written on them anyway.
Looks great , but not potato PC friendly .
