Permafrost

A very good start!

It is clearly evident that the game is in Early Access, yet it is already great fun to play. The graphics are truly impressive for a game of this type, and the gameplay is already highly engaging. Crafting and building—two essential features—have been implemented exceptionally well and are already working fantastically. What really keeps me motivated to play are the achievements you unlock early on, such as completing a simple quest or crafting a bow and arrows. When you use that bow to take down your first deer and cook a meal from its meat, you realize the game is already worth the price. I look forward to seeing how the title evolves, and I’m delighted to own it DRM-free right now! Many thanks to Toplitz, and best of luck with the game!

Gently Packed Demo

It just crashes...

The idea might be nice, but the game did nothing but crash. It crashed when I went to the settings, it crashes when I tried to change a setting, it crashed when I hit Escape. This is an unplayable mess. And that's sad because I like the idea of being a cashier at a super market. I hope the full version will be a LOT more stable.

Knytt Classic

Nice little exploration platformer

The game is really simple, you're trying to find items in a big world. You can jump and climb up walls. There's also a button to indicate the nearest item. There are many savepoint scattered around this world so if you save every time you see one, you never lose much progress, a big plus in my book! The controls are spot-on and the visuals are nice and colorful. There's no time limit or anything like that, you can play at your own pace. Another plus is that this game might even run on a toaster or a potato :) Little tip: The path that looks obvious is always the wrong one :)

Is This Seat Taken?

This game loves you <3

It's a fun and extremely cozy puzzle game where you have to place "people" in the right spots, according to their needs and preferences. Here you don't need a keyboard for the most part, you can play this game with only your mouse (or maybe your gamepad). The graphics and animations are just so nice to look at and the gameplay feels great. I can only recommend this to people of any age. It's just cute :)

Origament: A Paper Adventure

Simple and fun!

I've played this game for a while now and it's been a blast! The bad thing first: There's no keyboard or controller rebinding option. Since I play left-handed, I had to reconfigure my mechanical keyboard but now it's fine for me. (On keyboard you use WASD to control your shape and switch to any shape with each of the arrow keys - Use a controller if you can^^). So in this game you are one of four origami shapes, you can basically switch anytime by just pressing the according button. So you can choose the boat shape if you're on water, the ball on land, the plane to fly and a shuriken to boost or scare away bugs. So you move through the (so far) very linear levels and use your abilities to overcome abstacles and also find coins. The coins unlock origami blueprints or colors for your shapes. None of that really impacts gameplay but it's kind of nice. Sometimes you come across puzzles but so far they were very simple, nothing to write home about but it brings some variety into the game. I can't say much about the performance since pretty much any game runs well on my 5080. But I never had any stutters or something like that, it ran very smooth. Give this game a try, the price is really fair :)

Playable with the mouse too!

Don't let other reviews confuse you. While this game is primarily designed for controllers, it plays excellently with a mouse—and even a keyboard—though I definitely prefer the mouse. The game is both relaxing and challenging; it’s a truly unique kind of platformer. There is gravity pulling you downward, yet at the same time, you seem to be viewing the entire scene from above. I particularly liked that any solid platform can become a checkpoint if you stand on it for a moment—something I’ve never seen before. The music is relatively calm and very pleasant, with new sounds playing each time you jump onto another platform. It’s hard to describe, but the game has a style all its own. The price is very reasonable, especially during a sale, so give the game—and the developer—a chance and embark on a bizarre, magical journey yourself!
